i think i know what you mean...are you reffering to how girls think they're being empowered but really they're objectifying themselves more by using sex as a mind control device? or are you reffering to how a lot of girls today seem to think their lives are being recorded by mtv 24/7 and therefore start petty drama to seem "cool"? cause i see no problem with sassyness, honestly thats one of my biggest turn-ons.

I agree, I have been experimenting with being totally honest with people, and it turns out that people are thinking im going crazy. Like wtf, Im honest and then people are scared of it, like they freak out. I think two things, maybe i am honesly a crazy psycho or they are so scared of their own feelings that they think I must be crazy to be so honest with myself and others, so they react with the same emotions as when something greater comes along, like an alien, they recoil in fear. Perhaps I should fall back into the "drama" of this reality, but i feel I would be letting myself down, I should find people that arent such "peons" so to speak in their maturity or sate of mind.

Ive come to the conclution that I am a crazy psycho from societies stand point, they have been tought to reject honesty and goodness through the debat and god, the drama of society has swayed thier minds and latched onto their brains, I feel like its a big experiment by the government, kind like in Resedent Evil Directors cut, I think they are trying to breed or raise the masses and form a nation of zombies. They are not using biological means, no thats for the movies, the stories, the drama which is the media to brain wash society into a bunch of zombies or cattle.

I think that that shirt, as well as the one Al Bundy and that Mcdonalds shirt are all part of the experiment. I think what we are seeing is a direct effect of this experimentation, and it might not even be in its experimental phases anymore, they might be well past that. Anyone remember suburbinizatoin?

 

It has nothing to do with gender. The younger generation (boys and girls) is just becoming more aggressive.

edit:Learn a little about the sexual behavior of primates and how they use sex as resource for trade, then get back to me. The fact of the matter is that we to are primates and ever hear the saying " Sex Sells"? That's were porno and prostitution stems from. As well as the shirt, notice the hearts, hearts signify love, and in most minds that includes sex, unless its some sort of platonic love if that really exists and isn't some form of restricted sexual desires due to for example marriage or disease. The point of the matter is that Women can and will use sex as a means to get what they want, hence the term bitch, and therm prick or deuchbag for a guy who doesn't pussy foot around with political correctness. Bitch, which can also be used to refer to a male who acts like a female trying to get attention or some such thing that doesn't matter.

 

There is an EXCELLENT book that addresses the issues discussed in this thread. It's called 'Female Chauvinist Pigs' and it analyzes the behavior of young women in American culture today. It's fascinating and very insightful. It's written by a feminist who is criticizing women's behavior and also explaining the train of thought (or lack there of) behind this kind of behavior. Truly fascinating.

I think everyone should read this book. I'm a gender studies geek (truly), so pretty much any book on the topic fascinates me. I just think gender roles suck so much right now, for men and women alike. Our society disturbs me sometimes with its dysfunctionality.

The more you study gender studies the more you see what you read reflected in people's behavior and notice how screwed up people are (again, women and men BOTH)

I like to think of us as 'generation why?'

to the op, i get what you're saying now and like intended to say, some girls are just bitches and guys are assholes but they're too "proud" to realize this.

 

High self-esteem + disipline = fully functioning adult human being.

Shall I baby the world and its inhabitants with the fact the the old school is just sexually insecure, and scared of a world were people can be themselfs. Scared that the status quo might be wiped from under there feet, thats all of what this fear is really about isnt it? A battle of moral between the younge and the old, its the battle between living life liberally or concervatively. Well I plan to have as much fun as I can while learning as much as I can and working inbetween to finance myself, if your scared we cant do this then you wrong, its just a shift in social paradigm and lets face it, the old school is scared of being lost.

 

But we all ARE sexually liberated (unless you are like Christian, or something). Our society couldn't be much more liberated. Sexuality is everywhere, and that is not to say anything is wrong with sexuality, but it's become phony sexuality. None of it is real. I mean, are we liberated because they put a photoshopped picture of a nearly naked size two woman in a magazine? That doesn't make me feel good- that makes me feel flawed. That is not sexuality, it's commercialism. It's capitalizing on the fact that we're supposed to be stupid enough to see big tits or a shirtless guy and we think, "oh, yea, I'm buying that product." How fucking stupid. It's a slap in the face to the sexual libers of the past that were about real sexuality- raw, authentic and natural sexuality.

No one is opposing sexuality. Sexuality is wonderful, but what I see in our culture is bullshit.
