Gelato OG - Time to harvest?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by lukejj, Apr 16, 2019.

  1. Hello friends,

This has been one of my least organised / maintained grows so far and sadly I think im paying for it!
On all of my previous grows, by now I would have managed to produce a strong yield and much fuller buds etc.

The buds however are very small and already have loads of amber hairs etc. Have they already matured and this is pretty much it for them, ... or am i just overthinking it all and stresssing myself o

In your opinion is this just a crap yield and I should call it a day and harvest what iv got, OR, do you reckon I should let them grow on and hope they continue to thicken up?

    Cheers,

    Tom

  2. I think your album is set to private or something. It says in don't have permission to view them.

How long have your girls been in flower now?

  3. Hi man, just changed the viewing permissions, should hopefully be able to see the pics now!

  4. They are kind of small, I see what you mean. So, how long have they been in flower?

The pistils turning reddish can be due to a few different things; lights too close or too much intensity or heat and also fans blowing directly on them can cause it too.

What lights are over them? Do you know the spectrum range they have and the Kelvin temp? How many actual watts versus mfr suggested watts?

I also see new pistils coming in though, which does happen a few times during the grow.

The trichomes need to be ready before you chop it or you'll be even more disappointed in your yield. Can you see, are they mostly clear, mostly cloudy or a mix of clear, cloudy and maybe some amber thrown in?

  5. I think I switched them to 12/12 around 2 months now, what do you think?

  6. what breeder did you choose ??

  7. The trichomes are mostly all cloudy but not many amber trichomes yet.
Im using 5 200w CFL bulbs with 2700k temp.

  12. You could give it a week or 2 more and they'll fatten up a little more, not much though.

As @Progrouk has eluded to, you'll need some better lights to get the kind of yield you're looking for. ;)
