G'day all The greeting and name should give it away, I'm an Aussie and have been in love with Mj for years. Have had an outdoor plant every season for the past 10 years. Some good, some bad and some unbelievable smoko out of it. have had a couple of crops from indoor set-ups all with reasonable results. ATM I'm starting to get a micro set-up (1 plant) together as i have had to move into a tiny 2 bedroom dog box of an apartment. I've been taking a look at full-spectrum compact fluorescent bulbs and thinking of 2-3 25w bulbs and thermostatically controlled fans to regulate temp. For growing medium I was thinking of using a 2 pot stacked style, bottom pot containing air-stone and nute carrying water with the top pot containing the clay balls, plant and a continual trickle of water. Sump would be contained out of the grow cupboard. Any feed back and idea's would be more than welcome

Thanx to all for the warm welcome. G'day mate I'm in good old Canberra, but don't hold it against me Joe Luxon, man wish i could. In Canberra where i live pot's decriminalized and we can grow up to 3 plants So up till now I've always planted in my backyard. Nice looking smoko mate, I hope to have similar success with my micro grow.
We're allowed to grow one plant here in SA (years ago it used to be 9, then 5, and now its finally cut back to just 1) With the option to just grow one plant most South Aussies outdoor growers plant in the middle of nowhere, and then have a single plant in the backyard as abit of a joke, maybe a small bush in a pretty looking pot, but nothing too serious. 3 plants would be awesome tho, you can get a full Years worth of smoko off of three plants in a season So you have legalised fireworks AND 3 plants per person? Bastards
The three plants used to keep me going for most of the year as i'm a comparatively small smoker, about 1/4 a fortnight. The micro system is more for shits and giggles than an attempt to keep me in smoko. A few of my mates still pull off decent crops and are more than happy to throw a cheap bag at me when the need arises. As of last year we no longer have fireworksPet owners groups got up in arms about having to keep their pets indoors for 1 weekend a year. Stanhope has been skating on thin ice for the past couple of elections, so he panders to all vocal interest groups (cyclists lobby, pet owners, anti-smoking lobby etc)in a hope to remain in government. Hell at lest we still have legalized prostitution, since the internet took off the appeal of porn shops has gone...lol
