Hmmm... I assume safari is the browser on your iphone? If it helps, I am currently using my Omnia to post. Opera and skyfire works great, imo. Don't really see why the iphone would be too different.
I've got an ipod touch which is basically the same thing minus the phone. I can get on GC. Just type in the direct URL.
I use my G1 occasionally. If you have a fast internet connection, I can only imagine the site would run smooth. Smooth for a phone, of course.
