Florida doesnt have a chance. Theyll keep it close through the first half, then Ohio State will pull away. Final score 31-17 Ohio St.
if urban meyer wins a championship, there will be 3 coaches in the SEC with national championships along with Spurrier at SC and Nick Saban at Alabama. That would be crazy. I think it will be close and here's why. coach Meyer is a damn good playcaller, he likes to mix it up a lot on both sides of the ball. On the defensive side i would look for a lot of zone blitzing and a lot of shifting looks from Florida. Troy Smith has that "football sense" about him where he can pick up on what a defense is doing by subtle shifts in the line. Look for how well the corners of Florida match up against the WR of OSU like ted ginn jr. I have confidence that the florida D can maintain contain on Smith and not give up the big run so look to see how well the corners cover. Offensive side. Florida has speed and they've had a shorter layoff than OSU. It seems like an eternity ago that OSU beat Michigan, one day after Bo Schembechler died doesn't it? yeah that was their last game. If i were coach Meyer i'd slip in Tebow when inside the red zone to mix it up a bit, he is a big guy that has good downhill speed and you never know if he's going to take off, toss it, or throw it on each and every play because he could easily do all 3 well
The SEC is showing right now why they are the toughest conference in America... big 10 defenses just can't stack up Florida is just shitting all over the bucks, 31 points in a half? lol
fcuk the big ten and the wac and the pac and all the pussy conferences. the big east the SEC is where its at, and maybe the acc. i won a lot of money because the whole world was counting fla out, all you had to do is look at the match ups. FLA has some serious speed on D that ohio state has never seen in their weak ass schedule. fcuk all you haters; theres some serious talent in FLA right now; dont sleep on USF. we will be ranked in the top 15 through 3 games next season. write that down so you dont forget
Not sure if there were other threads, but I just figured I'd post about how utterly shocked I was at Ohio State's performance. I can't recall a worse beat really, not even in the Cooper era...they just got beat in every aspect, it was quite pathetic. Not to mention I was on the road all day, and then the game wasn't on sirius, so I had to switch between different AM stations for the entire game, I was, not pleased. I do feel that OSU and the Big Ten are every bit as talented...it just wasn't meant to be I suppose. For the record, I think the way College Football is set up isn't very efficient at arriving at a clear champion, I think it should be a playoff system or something, the BCS is crap. But that's not too important. Ohio State was outplayed pure and simple, I never would have dreamed of that kind of embarassment under Tressel, just when I was starting to think he was some sort of Football God, too. eh, oh well, can't win 'em all...
hey and let's not forget about boise state just chillin at 13-0, the only undefeated team in '06. and don't give me that crap about how they play in a weak conference. Yeah, that's true...but they beat an oklahoma team guys, that lost that one game on the onsides kick call that was obviously incorrect and acknowledged as such. This was an excellent oklahoma team, make no mistake... 1 word: playoffs (even though it's guaranteed not to happen until at least 2010 due to the BCS contracts) edit: didn't mean to make it sound like oklahoma lost just one game, they lost 2 (to no. 7 texas btw) but had it not been for that call they would have had a claim to the national championship game.
i knew them florida boys would win.. i mean they have all the speed, and listen to this... up north, football is a pastime in the west, football is entertainment in the south, football is religion
