Would airflow directly into a carbon filter work as well as airflow out of carbon filter which is what i have been used to, but now think will will get more canopy space if carbon filter is outside tent and airflow blowing into filter rather than air from room through filter next to plants then air outside tent. So would having airflow into carbon filter outside tent- not next to plant inside tent but outside in 3x 2foot canopy area which im expecting would bring 200watt led yeild to around aaverage 9-12 ounces rather than 5-8 ounces in 2x2 foot area of screen canopy. I was getting minimum 4-5 ounces in 1,8 foot by 1,8 foot now thinking 200 watts will cover 3 foot by 2 foot canopy of a scrog. I dont care if carbon dust goes out of filter its outside my house and in garage. i just would like more area out of my grow. I also will use carbon filter, the same one when drying so having it ouside tent would be easier to use for drying and growing, if filter is outside tent.
That's how I run my filter, on outside of tent. And have exhaust fan right by exit hole which gives me plenty of hight for lights. But I think some filters are not reversible just need to look into what type you got.
I run 2 carbon filters, one inside the tent and one outside on the exhaust end, a 4 inch blower has no problem moving air through both of them. There should be no issue regardless of which direction one is moving air through the filter. I use ac infinity filters, but it shouldn't really matter much.
Yes good air flow is important during flowering, I run a 8 inch exhaust fan to filter and a 8 inch intake fan at bottom to bring in fresh air. And use to monkey fans in top of tent to move air on my LEDs.
I'm thinking about getting another carbon filter setup for harvest on plants ready before others Sent from my LGL322DL using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Carbon filter will work just as well in both directions. ONLY reverse the carbon filter if it can be reversed . Most cheaper filters cant be reversed . If you spend bigger cash on a filter i suggest contact the company to find out before you do.
