G13 Labs Purple Haze growing under a 150w HPS. Can definitely tell the difference in flowering time between indica's and sativa's after growing this. Still no signs of purple but I honestly could care less. Very fruity smell to it and extremely sticky. Day 78 of flower and preflowers were present before switch to 12/12.

Just flushed her 3 days ago, so i'll go about another 2 weeks with her. Trichs are pretty much looking all cloudy with very random ambers here and there. Just waiting for all those damn hairs to recede and a little more amber trichs to appear. Id like a solid 80/20 cloudy to amber. I feel like she has at least one more swell left in her. Last week or so I've noticed a lot of fox tailing so I've since switched the lights to 11/13 to help stop it and help her finish a little faster.

Was feeding Fox Farm nutes, growing in Black Kow soil.

    Well onto the pics :)

Any and all questions or comments welcome, good or bad

  2. How big is your grow space

  3. Growing in a 36''x20''x62'' grow tent.

  4. At what trich stage do most people usually chop their sativa's? I know a lot of people like to see a decent amount of amber trichs when they chop their indica's, does the same hold up for sativa's?

  5. I'm not positive, but I believe amber trichomes is a good indicator for both Sativa, and Indica.

  6. harvest at low amber for sativa, they cause a more couchlock high

can grow them darker, will just be a less cerebral high and more body

  7. I know the concept behind the trichs and what they do. I just have never grown a sativa like this before and didn't know if more people growing sativa's were looking for less amber seeing is how this is already genetically a cerebral high strain. I didn't know if more ambers would actually take away something from the strain.

  8. I'd think that by forcing more couchlock you're not going to get the intended sativa effect, but timing harvest is definitely a way to manipulate the "high" of a given strain one way or the other

  9. Bump!

Anyone else has any insight on when they usually chop their sativa's dominant strains?

  10. Easy on the nutes

  11. Lol I pumped the hell out of her. Normally I don't go so heavy but I was trying to see how far I could push her as I've been told this strain could handle a lot.

She was flushed about a week ago so plain water is all she's been getting :)

Probably gunna go another week on her at least, give or take a few extra days.

    Hopefully you took clones,

    Looks yummy tho ;:)

  13. Awesome looking sativa.

I myself tend to steer clear of them. But that looks delicious

  14. Unfortunately I didn't take clones.

I also usually stay away from sativa's, this is my first sativa dominant strain but it was a freebie from attitude.

Day 83 today. Tomorrow will mark a full 12 weeks in flower.

  15. Took a sample bud. Day 84 of flower, 12 full weeks. Mid section of the plant. Not that impressed so far based solely on looks.

  17. Another shot after drying over night. Still a little moist. Hopefully it'll be dry after dinner and I can get an idea of when to chop this bishhhh lol

  18. 8am this morning the lights shut off for their last time. I've started my 48hr dark period on her. Thursday morning she gets the chop :)

  19. Smoked the sample bud I took the other day. The high is definitely very sativa. All the characteristics you would expect. Can't tell about taste or smell yet as I fast dried that bud with no cure. Couple more days now :)
