    1. This is a soil grow (Happy Frog)
    2. I am using general hydroponics for nutrients
    3. I am currently using a 600 watt HPS hortilux bulb for flower
    4. I am using a 1,000 watt MH for Veg

I have 2 G-13 Haze plants under a 600watt HPS currently about a week into flower.
On 7/26 I topped em. Then on 8/11 I turned the lights to 12/12.

I have 3 BlackJack, 1 Super Lemon Haze, and 1 Sensi Star plant vegging under a 1000 MH.

I have captions on the pictures. :D

  2. Nice grow you seem well equipped but im wondering why your using a 1000w mh for veg and a 600w hps for flowering, the plants double there size in flowering usually so i would say youde need more light during the flowering phase or use both bulbs to flower them and buy a T5 for veg or even a 250 mh.

  3. agreed. 1000w mh for veg is overkill, unless you're trying to veg a forest. 1000w for flowering though will do quite nicely, although 2x 600w > 1x 1000w

  4. I absolutely agree with both of you. :)

My only problem was I only had 2 plants ready for flower, and I have 5 plants vegging. Also I have a 400 watt system with only MH bulbs, my 600 watt system is HPS only, my 1,000 watt system is switchable I have both MH, and HPS bulbs. I of course would be bringing my 1,000 watt back into the flower room once the 5 plants were ready to switch.

I could bring the 1,000 watt system back into the flower room. Then my 5 vegging plants would only get either a 400 watt MH or a 600 HPS. And I would be using a 1,000 watt HPS with a huge Sun Soaker reflector on only 2 plants.

You guys are probably right though. Those 2 G-13 plants would look 10x better if I get that 1,000 watter over the top of them soon.

    Decisions, Decisions.

  5. Hopping on board! :hello:
Everything looks great, you must really like the Blackjack. I have 3 going myself... Did you start everything from seed? Any reason why you aren't growing the Rasberry Caugh? I'm finding out like you did, what a beast of a plant it is... Any reason for the switch to the Happy Frog over the FFOC?

  6. Yeah the BlackJack is a amazing strain, I am very pleased with it. I only had a few raspberry cough seeds so I opted to hold off on that until possible my next grow. I want to specifically do a hydro grow with scrog I just cannot seem to pull it off in the summer with the heat.

As for the change in soil I think happy frog is were its at, it has the perfect amount of nutes in it, and it just feels like a healthier soil. I guess its just preference.

I do not want to clone unless I am doing hydro. I like the stock and health of a plant grown from seed.

  7. Ok I took the advice of my fellow growers. I put the 1,000 watt HPS over my 2 G-13 Haze plants.

Then I put the 400 watt MH over my 5 vegging plants. I then had to change from the 400 watt MH to the 600 watt HPS because for some weird unknown reason the 400 watt light makes my plants reach for the light and deform. I am not sure if this is caused by the huge umbrella reflector or if its just the light bulb being vertical. It's weird and I dont like it. :(

  9. I have a small update not associated with my indoor grow. This is my sole outside LSD plant. Its obviously in bloom and doing well I might add, you might be surprised to see so many yellowing leaves, this is a very old plant in a pot, plus its over 7 foot in total height. Another month and this bad boy is going to produce. There are so many strong cola's on this plant its worth bragging about, I am pretty sure this one plant will produce more than my entire indoor crop.

  10. Man that is so awesome! How tall was it when you topped it? Is it topped? Looks so healthy! Nice work! :hello: BTW did you ever order any of those Matanuska seeds?

  11. just grew some super lemon haze, and the buds are superb. they smelled really strong, and kind of nasty when i first cut them off but after drying, and curing the taste is perfect. enjoy the fruit of the loom after you harvest. great grow :smoking:

  12. Yeah I cannot remember if I topped them the LSD plant or not. And no, I have too many seeds to grow before I order the ATF.

  13. Yeah the Super Lemon Haze is not much of a producer, but boy oh boy it's in a league of it's own, I grew 2 SLH plants on my last grow and they both were delicious.

  14. yea i actually chopped down my 3rd grow (SLH) and i think i might be growing a 4th one this week. got 2 more feminized seeds left, so why not, might even make a few clones :smoking:

  15. Update:

    1. I topped 3 of my plants in veg, 1 BlackJack, 1 SLH, 1 Sensi Star.

Also I am including some pics of my never ending stretch, and lots of pistols on my G13 Haze.

  16. Update:

    1. After fighting with the stretch on my last grow and the grow before that. You would of figured I had learned a lesson. Well I am dealing with it again. On the bright side I moved my 5 vegging plants into the flower room, I have never flowered plants so small before. So this is also going to be a learning experience. So now I have 1 plant that is 7 foot tall, and another that is doing just about perfect, then the 5 plants I had vegging are now in the flower room stacked on buckets and pots.
    2. I have 2 lights running in my flower room, 1 1,000watt HPS, and 1 600watt HPS, plenty of light. I have a carbon filter running as of last night, and a portable a/c, and a rotating fan.
I will add general hydroponics bloom to my 5 newest editions on their next watering.
    3. I made a mistake with my timer when I moved the 600 watt HPS into the flower room last night. It came on 15 minutes early, I turned it off and set the time right so tomorrow everything will be fine, but today the light came on early then I shut it off, and they both came on. So another words some stress there I am sure.
    4. Without further ado more pictures. You can see how I moved the G13 Haze in between both lights so that it can just grow without me tying everything down, I do not believe the top colas are going to get much light but I am still debating on whether or not I should bend them to get more light or just leave them alone.

  17. Love the strains and your efforts. Good journal man!

    -BH

  18. Wow, those really did stretch! Any reason why you didn't top them? If you topped them when they are like 18" - 20" I'm guessing that would solve your problem. Also what about LST? I have a Rasberry Caugh that I've been vegging for about 8 weeks, that I'm doing LST and it is only about 3 feet tall (including the pot). With all of the space and light you have, it would probably work pretty good, and keep the canopy even. Just my .02.

  19. Hey Jamie, I did top the G13 Haze plants, and they were nowhere near the height they are now, there is no way to accurately judge which plant will take off and triple in height. I have grown several different strains so it is very hard to judge. But I included pictures earlier in this thread showing just how much room I had after I topped them. And this one plant just decided to shoot for the stars. As far as LST, I am not sure what you mean.

  20. Thanks bro. :D
