It's a fungus gnat. You need to apply crab shell meal if in soil or stop the top drip and switch to dwc if in hydro. ~ poke
Thanks dude. usually putting a layer of sand on top of my soil helps but this time it's not working so great. Which is why I thought they could be root aphids.
