Full moon harvest and at night.

Where I am it would make sense. Plants in lights out mode, moon is bright enough to see what you're doing, usually calm clear nights in the fall, would make for a peaceful harvest.

 

Sunlight will degrade thc on the bud and cause the plant to produce more chlorophyll as well... This is why people chop just before lights on - as far as I know.
