moved my 400W bulb/shade 2metres to another set of hanging chains. the light was off ofcourse. 5 mins later tried to plug the ballast back in. its ticking away but no dice. wtf. pulled plug out waited another 10 mins. same shit. i tried it 30 times now. i was moving it cos i just brought a 600W to join the party. please dont tell me i have to replace my 400W now.
I doubt the whole balast/light and all of it's fucked. Try pusing all the cables in firmly, if that does nothing you might have broke the element in the bulb. Just get a new bulb and it should be fine. PS. i replace all my bulbs after every grow as they tend to lose a fair amount of lumens and go wrong more after being on for 1000's of hours.
hey doppey, thx for answering. Na, its not the bulb as i have another 400W light setup and i changed the bulbs. Unfortunitely, with this 400W ballast i cant check the fuse, which i suspect is the cause. I guess il try to find some electronics place to take my ballast into so maybe they can repair it or tell me its fuct.
