My medical card expired and I cannot get it renewed. Why? Because of our Tea Bagger, Texas bitch (not a reflection on Texas just the bitch in charge of New Mexico), two-faced, lying whore known as Governor Martinez. After she was voted in, she announced that she would do everything possible to do away with the medical cannabis program in New Mexico. And she's succeeding. The DOH board decided that it wasn't hard enough to get a card for PTSD sufferers so they added some more hoops to jump through and very few people in New Mexico can get a card for PTSD. I have yet to find a medical professional that will even consider renewing my card. My card expired in June. There are rumors going around that the board is going to do away with PTSD as a qualifying condition altogether. So my doctor put me back on Paxil and I was having terrible reactions to the medication. I quit taking it and now my doctor is having kittens. I told him I can't take that shit. I'm back to daily panic attacks and waves of crushing depression. I have to suffer because people in this state are too fucking stupid to realize that the Republican Party does NOT have our best interest at heart. It's all about money money money. Fuck! /end rant

Just grow your own, if you're in a med state I don't think they'd be looking for small scale grows so you don't really have to worry about getting caught.

But you don't need to go back to the drug you had a bad reaction to or just deal with panic attacks.. weed still exists in new Mexico I'd bet and a small scale grow from who ever posted it is a great idea. Then, after some experience, you get "medical grade" all on your own for pennies a day. Best of luck.
I live in a small Mormon community. I would have to drive 20 miles to the next town to find a dealer. New Mexico is a border state. There is no way in Hell I'm going to be transporting illegal cannabis on the Highway. Nuh-uh.

Small scale grow. They aren't seeking out every tiny grow since you're in a medical state plus even if you weren't it'd be next to impossible to catch you with a secure spot to set up a 4-600watt grow if you follow the rules. Best of luck

Here's the thing. I moved back to New Mexico from Utah to help care for my mother while she was dying of cancer. She passed a year ago last June. The reason I had to move back is because my dad has Alzheimer's and couldn't take care of mom and now he has deteriorated enough to need 24 hour care. This means lots of nurses and nurses aids going in and out of the house. Not to mention the odd social worker or two. One sniff of growing cannabis would bring the sheriff down on me like a ton of bricks. My only alternative is to either suffer without medication (I'm going downhill fast) or start taking pharmaceuticals again and become a fucking zombie. Which I cannot afford considering my dad has set the kitchen on fire on two separate occasions. Thank God they were localized and did little damage. I have to stay on top of things and the meds they give me would have me comatose with the house burning down around me. I'm between a rock and a very hard place.
