    My mom seems to think im some kind of drug addict. She has no problem with under the age drinking but smoking weed is apparently some kind of horrible horrible thing to her. she seems to think that its because of the crowd i hang out with. I tried to tell her i rarely do it, and it relieves my stress from all my studies etc. She said "when it's legal for you to do it, go ahead". This is fucking bullshit. I told her im not some crackhead, or some fucking drug dealer trying to make his way on the streets. i smoke rarely for stress and some fun. OH CUZ IM TOTALLY GONNA DIE CUZ OF IT. She refuses to give a real reason, its illegal is all she says. What the fuck?:mad:

    maybe you should try explaining the effects of alcohol on the human body
    and then afterwards try to explain the effects of marijuana on the body.

    alcohol is much more damaging, if your mom is fine with drinking, theres no reason why she cant be fine with burning.

    show her some websites, print some things out for her!

    i did the same for my mom and slowly but surely she stopped giving a shit all together.
    in fact i even got her to smoke a joint with me! she only took a few hits but she did do it ! haha

    Parents will bitch unless your dad owns a rolling paper manufacturing company. It was always kind of on the downlow, but now that i'm older it's cool, i hate the weed/acohol double standard.

    Wow. your so fucking lucky. My mom was never into smoking, and never will be. She is ignorant. I dont know how many times shes said weed is near harmless and should ABSOLUTELY be used for medical purposes. Since shes an adult with kids, she must be thinking im gonna get into fuckin lines of coke and shit. I wish she had some idea of "what the fuck" she is talking about. Ive showed her countless articles containing info on the negative vs. positive effects. etc. god damnit im whining like a bitch but its so frustrating to see how ignorant and unwilling people are to be educated. guess ill just drink myself dead. word.

    along with what the other suggested i would just sit her down and explain that your not into the harder shit and know the difference and know not to get into it mabye that will calm her down with regards to weed.

    Oh god. I had the same problem with my parents. Specially my Mom. She wouldnt even listen to the facts. Its like she thinks weed is like heroin. My dad is more understanding cuz he tried it. But yeah. Fucking annoying.

    +rep my mom's the same way... She never tested me but she's always mad suspicious... So I usually smoke in my shower and use ClearEyes :bongin:

    My mom was against it when i was young like 14 or 15 but then a couple of years back when I was 16 and got my first job she said if I was working she wasn't against it as long as It was smoking after work guess I am lucky.

    lol my parents follow the double standard too. they will buy me booze (18) and let me come home drunk as fuck whenever but if they caught me smoking they would be pissed.
