Do a little research on vaporizers..sure volcano is a good vaporizer but if you want a vaporizer there's no reason to pay $500+ for one.
The ascent and firefly are both battery powered vapes around the same price as the pax and, imo, will serve you better. You could also try the lotus or hammer. They are both significantly cheaper butane vapes that have a looooooot of good reviews on here. The pax IS compact and stealthy, but it also smells more than most vapes, requires more maintenance, and uses up more herb than many models since it relies on conduction to heat the herb. It will cook your flower even while youre not taking a hit, which is obviously very inefficient when compared to a convection vape or a "hybrid" that uses a combo of both technologies.
Im confused. I have the No2 (so do 3 of my friends) and none of us have had any problems. Are you sure you're using right? If you have the time, maybe you could take me through your process of using it? Im just seeing if maybe I could help you out.
Pax sucks. My friend has the solo and used the Pax and would never recommend it. Its just nice, thats it. I used his Arizer solo and well, My DaVinci ascent is so much better beyond comparison. I also have the Extreme Q and my friend had the volcano. Not worth the 500, extreme Q has same quality vapor and alot easier to set temp. if you dont get the digital version (which is an extra 50$), also has a whip, and his half the price. The ONLY downfall is filling a bag takes 1-2min and volcano is 30-45 sec... Oh yea, and youll spend a fortune changing the parts of the volcano, and Arizer has lifetime warranty thats so much better. (From experience) So to sum up my post, save the xtra money if you want a handheld or non-portable, its worth it. Arizer Extreme Q > Volcano DaVinci Ascent > Arizer Solo > Pax Lemme know if u have questions on those, ive tried em all except the Pax, which even my Local Potshop didnt recommend lol.
Ah well take out one positive i mentioned lol. I think theres a 2 year maybe for the rest, which is good enough, just throw it on the floor 1 year and 11 months after purchase and call them lol. If not, it still kicks ass.
Your post was good over all I just wanted to point that out to make sure no one got the wrong idea here. This is how arizer describes their warranty. http://arizer.com/faq/
