Hi All, Like many I'm switching from combustion. But I'm having a really difficult time achieving decent results. I bought an Arizer V-Tower with whip a couple months ago. I grind using a decent grinder. I've been experimenting with different temperatures (up to 210 C) and different amounts of bud. They advise filling the chamber 2/3 full. I draw long and slow but the bud tends to get sucked up into the screen. All in all, it's ineffective and messy. I'm hoping I'm just making rookie mistakes, so if anyone has any thoughts for a newbie it'd be appreciated! Thanks!
I have the Extreme Q for years now. I would always recommend the balloon over the whip, which unfortunately doesnt work on your unit. The temperature should be ok though. 190 to 210 is a good range to be in. I like it a little on the lower end because the vaper tastes better and is a little cooler(duuuh). I used the whip in the beginning and yes, its normal that the weed gets sucked into the screen and kinda stuck after a good hit. I would usually scratch it out every once in a while. Have to do the same with the balloon. Do you get no vaper at all or are you just not satisfied with the high it gives you?
Thanks. Good to know the screen situation is normal. Regarding your question I do get vapor, but not as much as I'd like, I guess. So yeah, I'm not satisfied with the high.
Hmm I guess you either need to take longer hits or really think about a balloon unit. Its really worth the extra bucks, too bad you are invested in the tower now. I also tried the Hydrology 9 but both my units broke within 6 month or so. I love the vaper quality, but the chamber was too small and breaking so easy sucks ofc...so IMO the Extreme Q is the best bang for the buck and I filter my balloon vaper through water with a bong.
Either here or roll it up has a thread that tells you what vapes at what temps and I have mine set on 395 F that covers about 3/4 of It. I think it misses thcv and like cbn and I think something else that vaps at like 430 F but that’s getting too hot for me I get nice thick vaper hits that send me floating.

You might look at how you are drawing on your vape if you are getting inconsistent results. When its wrong you can easily under or over heat the load, strive for consistency once you find a draw that works.
Yea I forgot to mention that, I stir mine after every balloon, so you should stir after every other hit or so. Kinda changes the taste sometimes though
Thanks a lot guys. I'm learning this takes a bit of practice and experimenting! The stirring helps and actually I've gone down to 195C, at which I'm getting better results, at least to my taste. May go up a bit according to the vape temps list. Very helpful.
195 is a sweet spot IMO. sometimes I go a bit lower. It also depends on how hot the glas piece is. Forgot to mention this, you have to let it heat up first. Start it and once it reached the 195 it will need another 10 mins before the glass piece will produce any vapor
Get yourself a ddave wand The DDave Adapter for Arizer EQ and VTower - (18mm Only) It will increase your pleasure by leaps and bounds. Very affordable fix. The results are impressive. The vapor is incredible. Bag or whip the results are vastly improved.
What is that thing doing? I might have to get one, but they dont really explain WHY it is better than the normal glas piece
I read up a little about it, from your experience does this thing also speed up the whole process? like having to take less hits or less runs filling up the balloon? because that would be a major improvement for me
IDK about speeding up anything, it gives very consistent thick milky rips. The bags show just how thick the vapor is. For a little bit of cash it improves the performance of the Extreme Q
If you're coming over from smoking...you need to give it about 6-8 weeks for your body to get used to vapourisation, clear out congested material and free us some nice real-estate on the surface of your lungs to use it more efficiently. Trust me. It gets better. WAY better.
you can use degummed hemp fiber ( hemp wicking ) also and as well... cotton too can be used... just insert a wad in any vape chamber to reduce the capacity of the chamber... you can put the wad away from the heater in your case and this will press the herb closer to the heater and keep it pressed there while you vape... you can micro dose very easily with any vape... when you have used it for a while save the sticky resin coated hemp fiber for later extraction with alcohol or a higher temp vape that could vaporize the essence from the wicking...
