It's considered polite for the owner of the marijuana to pack the bong (pipe) for himself and his guests.

Marijuana users have a set of customs and guidelines that govern the social use of the drug, according to local teens. These customs are known as "potiquette."

The owner of the marijuana will not smoke in front of others unless he has enough for everyone with him. "You don't get it out unless you have enough for the class," said one Liberty High School junior.

Sharing marijuana is common. Generally, a person with marijuana will share with everyone present at no cost.

The owner will first separate the seeds and stems of the marijuana from the flowers, or buds, of the plant before sharing or selling.

The owner of the marijuana generally would roll the marijuana cigarette or pack the bong or pipe for himself and his guests.

Guests must never speak negatively of the quality of the marijuana.

With a marijuana cigarette, or joint, teens typically take two drags and then pass the joint to the person on their immediate left.

Coughing can either be acceptable or taboo, based on the company. "It's like cleaning your plate," said a Fauquier graduate. "In some cultures, it's respectful to clean your plate. In others, it's best to leave a little bit ... Coughing just depends on who you're with."

  2. coughings frowned apon here.. noise is generally discouraged

  3. for me its also usually whoevers weed it is hits first, then whoevers piece it is goes second and then some kind of order

  4. We do it the same way here, only we make are circle that way

  5. coughing isn't really encouraged, but when someone takes a hugehit and then proceeds to cough up a lung, it always ends up with all of us cracking up, so it's not exactly like its a bad thing either =)

  6. yeah...for sure! i know of a few times with this happened and it was like...think of the sound of a needle being scraped off a playing record...that classic sound!

however, if i sell some to a friend, i never clean it for them...thats just too much work!
