From seed... when to flower?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by herbofwar, Sep 23, 2011.

  1. I searched and perhaps didnt search correctly for my answer...

I was running a test of my tent setup from some bagseed... Ive only ever flowered from clones, so I wasnt sure how old a plant needs to be before I can flower them when growing from seed...

Is there some point of maturity they need to get to before I can flower them?

Thanks in advance for any pointers or pushes in the right direction you may give.

    /cheers

  2. I've heard it be suggested that you wait until the plaint begins 'preflowering'.. But also I think you can begin flowering after any amount of time past about 10 days of vegetative growth.

  3. Ah, cool... thanks for the info!

I have always allowed at least 10 days on clones, so this should work well for my test run... not that IM expecting too much out of it.. but Id at least like to have SOMETHING for my effort

    :D

    Thanks again!

  4. Start flowering based on the size of the plant. Realistically you can go 12/12 from seed however I recommend giving at least some veg time.
