From Goody-Goody to Stoner: My Initiation Into the World of Weed

  1. I love it. Reminds me of the first time a smoked a few months ago. You beautifully illustrated everything I noticed but wasn't sure exactly how. I liked the parts about turning really polite and feeling a childlike fascination with the world. It's weird how no one really talks about this random politeness more often, I've never heard anyone mention it but it's definitely there.

  2. Stoners Unite indeed. We have to take care of each other.

Excellent tale... absolutely amazingly written and I'm so proud to know of yet another person passionate about our Mary Jane.

Thank you and keep on flyin :)

  3. i actually shed a tear......

    what elts have you written?

  4. that was a good read, you definitely have a way with words

  5. That was really great, I appreciate good writing.

    Thank you :D

  6. Thanks! I wrote more when I was younger and had time, but now I usually only write for academic purposes. But I want to get back into writing. :) It's just that I always start and don't finish projects...

Hmm, that would be interesting. I may try to do that. I'd definitely alter the story a lot.

I'm touched! :D I've written quite a few short stories and poems. Maybe I'll post some later.

  7. id say you have an interested audience waiting to read

  8. I'm reading this stoned and man...that was tough...but an excellent read.

This was the funniest lines I read:

"I told her that I had hooked up with a guy there, and she responded with a disgusted “ew.”"...LOL! As if she was 6 and boys had cooties...LOL!

You know...I thought this was going to turn into a porn story...it has all the makings of one...not that I would know...LOL!

It's good you got stoned on your first try...I didn't notice anything until my third try...or i was stoned but just didn't know what it felt like.

I also noticed that alot of professionals (engineers, lawyers, pyschologists etc.) smoke up as well, but they don't openly admit it. You almost have to look for signs or wait till they muck up and accidently blurt it out...then you say "I'm a stoner too!" and whip out a J and join in on the festivities.

    Anyways...awesome story!

  9. "It's just that I always start and don't finish projects..."

I'm the same way. I hope to finally finish something I started up this year. One of my New Year's Resolutions was to write a novella. Maybe it'll happen.

All the same. The point of me rambling is to encourage you to write more than academic papers. I know so many talented writers who never get around to it. If you have something to say it's a crime not to.

  11. I read the entire post. Great story. Now I want to try a naked toke :p.

EDIT: And, of course, you are a great writer

  12. I read it all and it was a very good read! Impeccable writing skills!

I still can't get over this idea of a 'naked hit', sure I've hit a bong naked while like chilling with my (now ex) gf and it feels pretty fantastic, but getting naked in a room with 2 of your friends just to take a bong toke? I gotta say that's pretty weird lol

  13. I wish there were more things like this to read

    thanks

  14. You're a fabulous story writer. I'm ADD and at first I was like, "Oh gee my mind is prolly gonna be somewhere else very soon" once I seen the length of the thread but I was able to maintain my attention on it. Was able to get good mental images of the things you described etc etc.

Also, glad you've found the herb and were able to break free of the dark and cold and closed in world you described at the beginning. :D

  15. Awesome story!! Actually took the time to read the entire thing! Just more proof that ruining your life is not an active property of cannabis.

P.S. You are a very talented writer! Usually I don't have a long attention span to things like this, but I was actually caught up in the story and imagery the entire time!

  16. I know, the kid who suggested has always been kind of weird about things like that... Like one time he got head in my friend's computer room while a group of other people were in the room right next door. And everyone was sober. So...yeah. Oh well. It's an experience.

And thanks everyone. :) Glad it could hold your attention.

  17. It's so nice to know that there are people like you smoking pot. In my town everyone is tryin' to be "thug for life" it's really annoying. I like to see genuine, moderate smokers; makes me feel like I'm not alone.

    Thanks for the post. :)

  18. I just read the entire story. I felt like I really had to subscribe and leave you a comment here, cause I found it was amazing !

I love the way you write !

  19. I think so too. It's nice to know that not everyone who smokes is a total Rastafarian, thug, or hippie. Although, I will say I lean toward the hippie side of things. ;) But still! We can be anyone we want, from a girl with a bow in her hair to a man in a suit! That's the beauty of it...
