I'm talking to this guy on craigs list right now. He got a 400w metal halide light from work. 6 inches wide, 18 inches long. Bulb has 10 hours on it. He wants $50 for it. Should I get it? It would replace my cfl. My plants are currently starting week 2 of growing. Is it worth it?
i'd go for it assuming the light and ballast are in working order. lots of people (me included) start with CFLs and then switch to MH after a while.
