I am about to switch from 24/24 -12/12 and I have a fan on it 24/24 now, and was wondering if keeping it on 24/24 and the lights 12/12 would be fine. I don't see a reason not to, but thought a little input would ease my mind. Thanks for any advice in advance!
Depends what you are using the fan for. To regulate heat? If the lights are off, granted, it will not be that hot and no use for a fan. To strengthen stems? By flowering time, they should be plenty strong. I don't think it will help nor hurt if you have them on or off during the 12 hours of darkness.
Actually, if your humidity is high then leaving it on is good and visa versa if the humidity is low its better off. Also, if this fan is your vehicle for tranporting new/fresh air in it is good to either leave it on or have it come on 2-3 times during dark period.
Wind still blows at night time..... I wou;d keep the fan on, maybe not as much... Maybe just lower the amount of time that it's on. Air blowing across the leaves and buds promote a stronger and healthier plant...
Yeah, there wont be a heat problem cause the lights will be off, and since the fan is on when the lights on, there isn't a humidity problem when the lights go off. And I allready have it on the lowest setting, but when I get some buds I may turn that fan on for lil while while the light is off. Thanks for the input everyone!!
