    My friend is convinced sticky weed is the only good weed. That well cured weed is always 100%sticky and never dry in the least...


    Am I wrong on this? That well (read, properly) cured weed isn't always sticky.

    He claims, "the weed crystals make it sticky" (despite the fact that crystallization is a purifying process that eliminates water weight.)

    you dont want bud devoid of moisture. its harsh and burns too quickly. but basing dankness only on stickiness is retarded. you can have sticky dank weed that dries out but will still be just as potent, just not as easy to smoke

    No there are a lot more factors that contribute good weed. You can get really good weed that isnt sticky, and bad weed that is sticky. To stoned to go into details.

    This totally, i've seen mids that were sticky as hell but most of the dank I buy isn't sticky. I don't like it sticky it's harder to grind and takes longer to vape.

    I can picture your friend now "this bud has crystals on it but let me rub it first, just to know how sticky it really is."

    Just pour glue on your budz man, he'll love it.

    Yes your friend is wrong, bud comes in all shapes & sizes. Usually you can judge the quality but sometimes some brown shit will hit hard as hell, and some dank looking shit won't do much.

    moisture makes bud sticky not crystals.its the resin in the buds.goin on that logic bud with 0% moisture would not get you faded at all and fresh bud would get you the most faded.fresh bud barely gets you faded.it needs to be cured

    The "crystals" are resin glands filled with the oil that gets you high. It stays sticky no matter how much moisture is removed from the plant material. The more resin, the stickier the weed.

    But remember more trichs doesn't necessarily mean more potency. That's in the genetics.

    You could have a plant that produced the most resinous trich covered buds you've ever seen yet it could have such a low potency it won't even give you a buzz.

    You could have a plant that produced mediocre looking buds with not many trichs but those trichomes could be packed with actives that will fuck you up.

    You can't judge potency by looks, feel, smell, etc. The only way to really tell is smoking it.
