Friend Broke our brand new Bong...

    So yesterday me and 4 other friends went to a headshop and bought a bong together ($80 total) and had a fat sesh

    It was 14 inch glass on glass hand blown from a local blower, 7 mm glass, diffused downstem, was fucking sexy.

    My friend that was going to be keeping it at his house just leaves it outside and the next day the beaker was completely broken off the tube.

    Now we're trying to figure out what to do

    The kid that broke it spent all his money on it (poor, lives with his mom)

    Maybe since it was hand blown the headshop will be able to have someone fix it...

    What would you do in this situation? I spent $20 on it myself, my friends the rest

    Break looks pretty clean, seems possible it could be fixed... to my untrained eye.

    This is a reminder though for everyone why you shouldn't leave your bong in the cold outside, or freezer.

    Sucks man, I wouldn't imagine the poorest kid to break it... usually the richest does because there is no fear of not being able to replace it.

    BUT

    I've had it happen to me a couple times, everyone has. They probably won't fix it since you already chiefed out of it... you could try and make it ghetto style though?


    Ultimately you're fucked and need a new piece, make sure that kid understands the importance of care with the next one

    he who breaks the piece picks up the mess in more than one way. make him pay for repairs or new bong

    Well at least $20 isn't much of a loss for you personally, but this will show what type of a person he is. He should pay everyone back their money when he can, because it was clearly his fault and should man up and take responsibility.

    If that thing cost you $80, find a new head shop. My bong was also $80 and it has a 6 arm perc, an ice pinch, and it came with a free colour changing bowl in addition to the one it shipped with.

    that sucks man. my friend broke my $40 bong a while back and still is yet to give me the cash...

    i'll get it off him though if it's the last god damn thing i do :bongin:

    I fucked up a homies piece once, was drunk so he understood. But surprised him with a more expensive piece, and a sack to apologize. But your friend is broke, so tell him to save up money and smoke you guys out or some shit.

    Why the fuck did he leave the brand new glass bong outside? Not smart. Even if he is poor make him buy it. He's dumb as hell for doing that.

    I feel shitty bashing a poor guy who lives with his mom, but who cares. I was poor for a long ass time in my younger life.
