Well, I just got off of the phone with my friend who was being interrogated by the police for 3 hours. Basically my friend was at the local gas station and he almost backed into this guy's car. Long story short the guy threw a sucker punch, while my friend was still sitting in his car so he hops out and they both throw down. The whole altercation was caught on CCTV at the gas station. Now here's where shit gets fucking nuts: the guy who fought my friend was found shot to death 2-3 hours afterwards. I am like 99.999999999% sure my friend didn't have anything to do with the murder, but the cops think otherwise. This guy doesn't own any weapons what so ever, I don't think he's even ever shot a gun. But now he's being held for 72 hrs at the station. I basically told him to find the best lawyer he can and to comply with what the LEOs ask him. This is just some crazy shit GC, I had to vent somewhere. If you think I am trolling you can GTFO I don't want to deal with your shit. tl;dr Friend gets into a fight at a gas station, beats dude's ass, 3 hrs later guy is found dead, police attempt to pin it on my friend, he's being now being held for 72 hrs.
Eh I think your friend will be fine. Afterall the only "evidence" they have is of a fight between the guy and your friend.
all they have to do is test your friend for gun powder on his hands. if he's clean, they have nothing on him...if he has the slightest amount of gun powder on his hands...he's done, case closed.
also, how did the cops tie the murder to your friend to begin with? 3 hours later...how did they know about the fight? something is missing here.
The cops were called by the gas station attendant, my friend left but they had his plates. I am sure everything will turn out alright, but this shit just like blew my mind.
That guy likes to fight random strangers over something so miniscule. No wonder they found him dead, it twas inevitable
Hon, calm down! They will likely test him and his clothes for gun shot reside. If he is in the same clothes as when he was in the fight, that will answer a lot of questions, right there. Also your friend will likely have an alibi (we seem to be either with friends, or online most of the time) and can prove he was elsewhere when it happened. He is just a "person of interest" because of the fight and it is easiest to slap a 72 hour hold on him so there is no chance of him slipping away. By the time his 72 hours are up, or sooner, they will have more info and will either release him, or charge him if they think he really did it. Granny
He wasn't picked up until this morning apparently, last night we were out drinking. But not until later in the night (10 pm or so), I know he paid with his credit card so it'll be on his statement.
Nah I really don't think he had anything to do with it. He's a smart guy, making a respectable income doing what he loves. He wouldn't throw his life away for some petty shit like that.
Just remember something is just a process we are not in the 80's were just someone saying u did it is not enough, Hell let's take OJ Simpson part 2 (CaseyAnthony) I think u r friend will be alright, from my part when he gets out the station just burn one n play I ur radio BobMarley "Everything is gonna be alright, No woman no Cry"
