First off, all you munchieheads...Step AwAyyy from my refridgerator!! I have a retarded question to ask....(alrght well if you answer nicely i will throw you a treat) Would cycling large containers of ice to the refridgerator save electricity by keeping the refridgerator cool preventing it from cycling as much? I understand that it would require energy to freeze extra ice in the freezer. My question is would the cost to freeze the ice be less than the cost you would save by having ice cooling the fridge and thus preventing it from cycling(turning on) as much? My guess is no because energy is one of those things that kinda equals out but i need to know and oddly google didnt help me.
no, actually im not which is sad that i would be worrying about such trivial things while sober but i like saving money which saves electricty which saves the environment. Lets go green guys
The fridge and the freezer are connected through ports so it gets as much cold air as it needs, it cycles as one unit.
ahhhh i see. Funny i didnt think of that. So ill just keep extra water in the fridge and extra ice in the freezer to keep things a more constant cold after the doors are opened. Guess thats all i can do then. Thanks are you a hvac technician or somthing or am i just an idiot haha
