Here are a few pictures of my clones 28 days in, need help ! Pic A : Largest of all, repotted in Jonh innes no2 60%, perlite 40% ( Jpeg 33&34 ) Pic B :same as pic A hopefully shes ok ( 30&31 ) Pic C : Due to be repotted like others ( 35&36 ) All are rooted well under Fluorescents, No Fertiliser has been used all on tap water 6.5 - 7 Ph, 2 repots are under 150w Phillips Son T 18 - 24 in away, other still under fluo, Soil Ph 6.4 - 6.8, Air temp 24 - 28 cent, Grown in cupboard space 2.5 x 2.5 ft Anyone !!!!
Thanks for replying !The larger clone has twisted leaves they remain out straight but curl round to the left or right, also the leaves have blotching which is is lime green this is on two of the clones !
the slight twisting of the leaves is not a huge problem. as long as it continues to grow and shows its healthy, i wouldnt worry about it. as for the lime green spots on the leaves, it could very well be from a lack of nutrients. what type of soil are they living in? did the bag say time release fertlizer edded or was it just regular potting soil?
Picture A has been repotted in john innes no2 compost 60% with 40% perlite no nutes used and Picture C is in miracle grow its been in it for 28 days and is due for repotting.
do you have a place you can go and buy some nutrients? you definitely need to feed them. they are living things. they can't survive off just water. ya know wat im sayin.
What suggestions are for feeding ? Jonh innes no2 potting soil says it has nutes for 4-6 weeks after repotting, i have 20-20-20 all purpose fert with trace ele, and micracle grow sol 24-8-16 but havent used any yet as i'am worried about over doing it. The prob i have is iv repotted 2 using the same meth for both, 1 of them looks healthy and green while the other has the limey greem patches and twisting both watered the same this is why am confused !
are these seeds bagseed? if so, small genetic problems such as the twisted leaves can happen. one of my plants had a funny disorder. on one of the branch sites just above a fan leaf grew the funky looking small fan leaf that was all twisted. the good thing about these disorders is that they usually have very little negative effect on overall health. as for fertilizers, i'd def. go with the one with higher nitrogen, 24-8-16. you want a ratio with nitrogen higher then the potassium and phospherous. but be careful not to use to much and nutrient burn your plants. i'd put a tiny bit in each gallon of water you feed them or you could put more in but only do so two one gallon a week. if that was confusing, just say u didnt follow me cuz im still half asleep. lol im just curous, what method did you use to root those? i use a homemade bubbleponic system. its kinda ghetto but its gone 5 for 5 so far and you can't not be happy with those stats.
I dont know what strains they are i got them off a mate by chance, they were all rooted in 3in pots in miracle grow compost using rooting liquid. I then put them in a propargator under 2ft fluo misting them 4-5 times aday lights on 24hr. They rooted in 14 - 21 days but as they were all different sizes the time varied, all the smaller clones (pic b 30/31) are growing well all looking green and healthy it is with the larger ( other pics ) clones that iv noticed the twisting and light green patches.
clones are best done with smaller branches cuz larger one needs more water and more nutrients so when there are no roots, they have a harder time surviving.
The larger clones are well rooted and growing well with new leaves appearing all the time which is good but the light patches and twisted leaves have worried me so if i start feeding them now like you suggested with the 24-8-16 fert everything should be ok along as i dont overfeed ! How long will i have to do this 4, at the moment i water every 2-3 days when soil is dry with no nutes so what should i be doing when using nutes ?
i think the best way is to put a small amount in all the water you feed them with. this way they are always getting nutrients. however, you could water them with regular water then the next watering with nutrients and keep that pattern. i put nutrients in all water my plants get. however, i use a TDS meter so i know just how much nutrients i have in my water.
sounds good man. good luck! ill check up on this thread an see if u need any more assistence. until then, peace.
How Do all ! Heres a few pictures of my girls 37 days in, all looks well see what u think, if any1 has any tips your most welcome !!!
i have heard that twisting leaves can be cause by low magnisum and low patasiom sorry i cant spell. so you might want to ad a bit and see if that helps
High fresh! your plants seem to be doing just fine now. As a side note, ive experienced both the curling and the lime "blotching" with my clones in a hydro set up. I believe it can also be caused by genetic variations(flaws). these traits showed in my clones as I took them during flowering. Maybe thats the cause and maybe it isnt, Its just what I obseverd while things like ph, nute streangth, and wartering, were perfectly in check. as long as you have good growth and they are green, I wouldnt freek out and do anything drastic. Overfert is worse than underfert, so keep that in mind. Im no soil grower so I cant help much more than that, but good luck with the grow! peace and keep em' green, bugout
Thanks guys for the input il keep posting updates as i am thinking of putting the larger one into flower next week !!!
