  1. I just cut these girls last night. I have them drying in the 'brown paper bag' method. I went and smelled them this morning and they no longer smell like weed. They more or less smell like a vegetable or tyme spice than weed.

Why is this? This happen the last time I grew....

  2. The smell shall return once in da jars.

  3. itll come back after curing bro :)

  4. never heard of drying directly in the brown bag. hang to dry first,a few days min then in the bags, then jars .

  5. this is good news cause i'd like to dry in my apartment and i was worried about smell. the jars will hide the smell so it works out perfect for me. can you smell the bud when you're about a foot away? in other words does it stink up wherever you're drying it?

  6. No. Just like hey. Or grass. Freshly cut. Stunk during growing. Cut, not so much.

  7. I'm on month 6 and the sweet dank smell comes out more and more each week. Patience.

  8. Im not sure but the grass smell might just be the smell of the freshly cut bud. A cure should help the smell come back like people said above.

Also sometimes bud smells like hay if its too wet, or if it was closed up with too much moisture from the start.

  9. Did you flush right?

I have found some strains don't smell till after drying and into the cure as well.

Dry in the dark, cool and until the main stem almost snaps, about 5-8 days then cure in jars (in the dark and open once a day for 15 min.)

  10. After the've dried in the bags, pop them into your mason/glass Jars, and the smell returns within a day or two, infact the smell will get better than before as the curing pregress's.

  11. i know its not smelling like weed. it always smells like hay in the drying process. but my question is how strongly does it smell. and how much did you harvest?
