Freedom of choice VS enslavement

  1. So I've been trying to stop smoking cigarettes because I've realized cigarettes are the lamest high. Nicotine's high is the motivation to feed the nicotines addiction. It does absolutely nothing for you

And I was thinking about the difference between drugs like nicotine and cannabis. Its like one's good for you but allows you to question its use and is non habit forming but then there's a habit forming drug is known to cause cancer, deteriorate health and do absolutely nothing for you
except encouraging you to keep getting another nicotine fix

Its like maybe there are different kinds of herbs to make sure in the end we were guided by our own choices.

IF you quit smoking cigarettes thats a conscious decision and not everyone is able to over ride that animal like urge to satisfy that need.
And if you smoke the herb, you have the conscious capacity to say, I don't want anymore I'm good.

When do you ever reach a satisfying dose with cigarettes? You see people chain smoking cig after cig like they can't get enough...

And I thought maybe weeds like tobacco were there to weed out the stupid people that would smoke something that did nothing for them and eventually weeds like the herb would win favor

except it didn't work out that way because they just made the beneficial herb illegal

and they kept the drug that enslaves and kills people.

its so much easier to do the same thing you've been doing day after day after day and if you feel bad you feel like you deserved it so you've done all you've could

but that doesn't get you anywhere, and when you look at the big picture you see how fucked up our society is. People are completely fine with drugs like cigarettes and alcohol when these are drugs known do damage the body and have no tangible benefits

when cannabis which is known to do a shittload of good things for you
i'm to high to list them at this moment

but for starters it helps with making new neurons and as a result makes people happier and more efficient, it also helps with getting rid of traumatic memories (getting over things) it helps with sleep, anxiety, appetite
I mean all of the things that affect mood it can help, and it can help us be more receptive and kind to other people, and its fairly simple to grow

and its illegal for that reason

    because I mean c'mon

    its the year 2010

We thought we were going to have flying cars by now

but we just have terrorist wars and cigarettes.

You would have thought that by now with all of our technologies we might have put it to some good use, I don't know maybe helping alleviate suffering in our world

    but its so fucking profitable
    for people to be miserable

cycles of fear inadequacy/exploitation= nicotine withdrawal

    Deconstruction of these cycles= cannabis

Cannabis can allow you to get rid of old ways of thinkings and get a hold of new interesting ideas, but because old ideas that exploit people are so much easier and more profitable, we never seem to get very far

but when it comes down to it

I guess its just freedom of choice VS enslavement:smoking::smoking::smoking::wave::wave::wave::wave:

  2. agreed. imo the government only has cannabis illegal because they are afraid of the "revolution" it might cause. what if even 60-70% of the united states smoked marujuanna? you could make the agruement that of that 60-70%, over 3/4s would begin to think more logically and notice flaws in society (here and around the world).

short reply but i gotta jet to class. 10 min late already :bolt:

  3. haha nice high post, had to read the whole damn thing. You speak like a true pot head. Weed breaks you out of the bubble this "government" has us in.

  4. It allows me to think clearly. And sooooooo much better.
