  1. Hey everyone! Starting a new thread for my new grow! My previous thread, Freedom 35 was a crazy journey into organic growing starting from zero knowledge to now where I feel like I am really getting the hang of this after 3+ years.

This thread is going to not just cover my new indoor grow but also things like composting, vermicomposting, and wild harvesting/growing my own Dynamic Accumulators for high value natural fertilizers. Let's get started!!

Currently I am in the middle of my build, still putting up drywall and have a lot of setup to do still. Already started seeds though because we should have this room finished by this weekend hopefully minus the AC install, have to wait for a professional to do that.

Mixing my own soil, No-Till style!
My soil mix this go around has some extras I have never used before but really looking forward to seeing how it works out!

    1/3 CSPM
    1/3 EWC
    1/3 Perilite
    10% Bio-Char
    Per cubic foot;
    .5 cup Alfalfa meal
    .5 cup Malted Barley Grain
    1 cup Kelp Meal
    1 cup Neem/Karanja Meal
    1 cup Crustacean Meal
    1 cup Oyster Shell Flour
    .5 cup Gypsum
    1 cup Balsalt Rock Dust
1 cup Saint George's Black Rock Dust
    .25 cup Greensand

This will cook for a few weeks.[IMG][IMG]

  4. Sure is, using it as a worm trap. Pullthe worms to there and then scoop them back into my worm farm.

  6. Using Hortilux MH for Veg and Super HPS for flower.
I have used so many different lights over the years, LED, DE, HID. And I feel Hortilux HID is the best overall.[IMG]

  7. Oh yeah, I am following this thread. I love anything grown in organic soil. I drive around and look at people who have huge yards and no garden and this makes no sense to me. There is something unbelievably powerful about growing medicine and food. Its like printing money BABY!!

  13. Found Black Soldier Fly larva in my old worm tower, been leaving the door open for air and guess they snuck in, laid a bunch of eggs. Got a ton of larva in here! Wish I had chickens to feed these too![IMG]

  14. When my chickens get out they always raid my compost bin...bastards can really clean the worms out. My wife thinks it is funny how mad I get, but those worms are my baby's.

  15. What kinda compost bin do you have? Throw a lid on it! I always built my compost piles in the chicken run so they can dig around in it, fertilize it. Then I build it back up in the evenings when they go in to roost.

  16. They can't get to my worm bin, but in the summer I have a manure pile I add horse manure to. It always has a healthy worm population in it...
