  1. When i hear this stuff, I can't help but think how much I would hate to live in heaven with their God.

If they're right then i'm in the right spot with my "satanic days".

All the cool people will be in hell.

  2. Wouldn't all the hot people be in hell...lol

on a lighter note I like both the Jon Stewart and Stephen Colber shows and watch both regularly.

  3. fuck fred phelps. i think he should die. just my opinion tho

  4. Him and his followers protested at a funeral near my area and now the father of the deceased soldier is suing Fred's church.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand I'm not sure if I want free speech limited that way but most of me hopes that fucking church gets nailed to the wall. It was so horrible seeing them in the paper the next day . Fucking assholes. (I can't see the video because I only have 56k :()

Wait, sorry, my bad. I wrote that wrong. The protest was in Maryland, the father lives in my area.

  5. Im in the same position as you.

I am a strong observer and advocate of free speech. It is VITAL for the survival of a true free democracy.

These values can not be comprimised because what is being said is unpopular. That is blatant censorship, flagrant fascism.

I don't like to use the word hate, I don't believe it has any constructive value. I strongly dislike the phelps. I dislike the church they advocate and the values they preach. I am abhored by the way they soil the name of the christian people i know.

But, I would do anything I could to prevent them from being censored.

Harassment and abuse is one thing, which their organization has came dangerously close to doing, but they should never ever be censored or restrained in any way.

  6. What I never understand is people that read the scriptures only for it's punitive aspects but for little of it's mercy and forgiveness. Maybe that guy doesn't have this scripture in his bible. IMHO this isn't a free speech issue but one of common decency. Christians are called to be Christ like not to act like they have the final say in the lives of others. With so called "Christian" representatives like this is it any wonder why so many people flatly turn their backs on religion?

“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.”
