happened to me before when i grew with a buddy but it was a terrible location. Its a sick empty feeling amplified by the fact that there are people so stupid as to go through all that to pick small premature buds that have practically no resin on them when they were only weeks away from being prime prized specimins after all that work and love. That shit is so rampant. I really do hate people pretty much in general. I would never steal a fuckin pen from someone why must we live amongst these assholes.

 

One of my older friends got hit last night in his old chicken coop grow. He had one skunk plant that filled the entire thing up. Now he won't ever be able to use that coop again, and he's in too poor of shape to grow in the woods. Likely fucking tweekers. I'd love to have some dye grenades for people like that so every body in town would know what they did.

 

yeah that blows i had a few friends who i was supposed to ove to colorado with to grow try and rip me till i caught them red handed before they even got out the car.....ive beeen spending 8 hour days now chilling in the woods....annoying and exhausting.....its completely my fault for even opening my mouth....first grow mistakes my girls look great hjopefully they'll last till i harvest

Well, for someone who lives in a tolerant state or an MJ state and is willing to fork over the dough, there is Lexan sheeting that lets in 90% of the sun, but you can't tell what's on the other side due to opaqueness. It would be perfect for someone who wants a secure building without spending all the light bill money. It's not likely that a tweeker or teenager would have a power inverter,long cycle battery, and an angle grinder with a cutting blade to saw through it and get inside. But anybody can get ahold of a box cutter.

That is what I am afraid of. I tell any of my friends that might stop by that I shoot first and ask latter. They laugh but know I am serious.

For the sake of a ripper thread and what to do and what not to do. Can I ask a few questions?

Where was the dog?
Did they cut the barbwire?
Any other Driveway Alerts or sensors?
Where you home?

I also recommend a bunch of driveway alerts from Harbor Freight Tools. If you want to catch them then leave all the receivers inside with you. If your not home or just to old to confront people then leave a few receivers outside to scare the rippers off. If you got the extra funds Trail Cams help ID them.

OP I know none of the helps now. But had to bring this up. IMO my backyard is rip proof with 8 driveway alerts. Best is a dash and grab. You can't hide from infrared sensors. Don’t give up man. I had an attempt in 2009. Never had another one. I know it's coming though for it's hard to hide suburban large grows. I have no control who goes to my neighbors house. I have to prepare like everybody knows. Or a lot of people know that is. It sucks but it's my best defense really. I have to be on my toes. I make sure I play the game though. When the Latino yard crew is mowing the lawn next door. I make sure they see me on my latter working on my carport with white shirt and shoulder hoister on. BB gun but they don't know that. I make sure they know I camp in my van for I make noise. TV and van lights always on.

I would like to mention an idea. See if you can find cheap trailer or camper van. This way park it outside your greenhouse next year and just camp. It makes camping out with your plants much better. Fun really for I look at it like my man and dog cave. Just chill on the laptop and Cable TV and listen for chimes. It helps I work swing shift and can stay awake until 5am. Thats a huge plus really.

You guys would be shocked if you saw how easy it would be to get into my carport. A ripper could walk up the next door drivway. Cut hole in chain fence. Take one step thru the bushes cut plastic and be inside my grow. At that point all 3 channels on my recievers would be chiming for me and the ripper the hear. But I have two sensors that will pick them up as the come thru the fence and before they get inside the carport. The key is to have two sensors at any one area. Not just one sensor to be certian about false alarms from moths/wend or things like that. A moth can set one sensor off but not both. So at anytime I hear two channels going off I know it's a 100% real allert. With this method I learned how to outsmart false alarms.

Sorry for the rambling but I know lots of people are growing right now without these alerts. My hope is people will go get some. You really can defend your grow with them. With batteries they are about $20 a set. Get the HF coupon and save about $4 each.

You have to camp out in your garden plain and simple. We stay up all night in shifts and walk the perimeter and have motion lights and trip lines and also are heavily armed so no one touches a bud on our plants not one piece. Otherwise people are dying or getting their hands cut off.

 

I think the punishment for stealing should be getting your hands cut off it works in other countries.
