Fox Farm Users?

  1. Just curious if you should do a two week flush before harvest if you are using fox farm nutes? Their feeding schedule doesn't show one. It suggests using nutes until the end. Since they are organic, do you need a flush to get the bud's full flavor without harshness? Does anyone have any input on this?

  2. Some of the nutes in their line are all organic and some aren't. You should always do a flush for the best tasting buds! Remember that their line isn't made just for cannabis but vegetables also. They aren't going to say to flush for the best smoke. Read the descriptions and you'll see. Some have additives and some don't.

  3. It is up to you if you want to flush them or not it is personal preferance with any nut. Foxfarms BigGrow nad TigerBloom are only 80% organic Big Bloom is fully organic

  4. I use FFOF soil, and the 3 liquid nutes, and I always do a 2 week flush before harvest.

As someone stated already though, it is basically personal preferance.

  5. Thanks everybody! I am flushing. I just got high and the question popped into my little mind. Thanks again!

  6. so when did you flush relative to the ff schedule? that's the part I'm confused about.

  7. depends on the strain and conditions...

  8. I used ffof and all the nutes..
I fushed for about 2 weeks.
    For a really long time...
and I still think I could have flushed longer.
just start flushing it and pull it at about 2 weeks and a few days.

  9. Dude, if you are using foxfarm, you definately need to flush or the buds won't cherry at ALL, irregardless of how dry they are.

  10. I didnt flush mine and it tasted very earthy.

    I hated it.
    everyone else loved it.

  11. Hmm that's interesting. I'd like to see if I get an earthy taste without flushing. The Fox Farms 3part nute lineup is not organic so you'll have to flush. ONLY BIG Bloom is actually organic, but FF has you mix it with synthetics, so there is really no point in it being organic.

Can't be 80% organic. Thats like 80% pregnant.

  12. Big Bloom being the only organic one in the 3 part system, makes it an "all-purpose" being for both veg and flower. They recommend it be used as the base for the rest of their nutes and if you look at the feeding schedule there is only one week that you skip it.

  13. I have always used FF, all 6 parts, on all my hydro grows. I go by the trichs to determine when to start my flush. I try to shot for 30/70 or somewhere close then do a flush with Clear-X. Flush again and replace with plain ph'ed water. Then I just check the trichs everyday till I get the desired percentage of cloudy/amber. When they get to where I want them they are flushed out and ready to be cut. I have in the past only flushed for a few days and that seemed good enough, no chemical taste or harshness. BUT that is also after a good jar cure as well. Remember this is just my results and only a suggestion to help guide you. Everyones set up and grow is always different. Also I have grown with the same mother plants with every grow. So It helps to know what to expect as well. Good luck!

  14. i called htg supply and they said flush 2-3 weeks before harvest.
