Recently started growing a few plants with FFOF and I didn't check the soil ph because I've never had problems with it before. Well I tested the runoff on my plants and it was like 4.5 , not even sure how they are living. I grabbed an expirement cup of the same soil and did a runoff test on it with the correct ph and it still came out extremely acidic. After SEVERAL flushes it's still acidic. What gives?! I always advise growers to add 30% perlite to any FFOF add more should you intend to add your own nutes later cheeers
I have a ph pen on the way. Using the reagent color tests. I just don't understand how this works. If I'm watering with 6.5 ph, how is the ph being drastically lowered by the time it runs off?
