Fox Farm nutes and coco

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by GratefulGrower, Sep 2, 2009.

  1. Hello all.

I'm about to begin a 3rd grow -- so far it's been bagseed in soil. Good results but did run into some issues. I am on a budget and that plays a part in my efforts. Anyway, the question --

I want to do coco as a medium this time. I am thinking of using Fox Farm soil nutes. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also, will I need cal-mag with these nutes?

    the low down:
    150W cfl
    bagseed
    RO H2O
Thank you, thank you, thank you

  2. No advice anyone?

  3. I love using coco as my medium. I always make my own nutes so I don't know about foxfarm, but they should work. The good thing about the coco is you can water much more often then soil.

  4. Oh, and you will most likely need cal-mag.

  5. fox farm products are amazing in my experience. ive been using their nutes for both hydro and soil and i have nothing but good things to say.

  6. Fox Farm products are defiantly high quality.

I've never grown plants in coco, but its a great substrait for other things. ;)

  7. Ok, thanks everyone - that sounds good. I'm excited to begin!

About the cal-mag -- at what point should I expect to need it?

    Thanks again:)
