Found an empty greenhouse

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by Chinchar, Aug 29, 2012.

  1. I recently found an empty, abandoned greenhouse near my house (twenty minutes away by bike) and I don't know if I should grow in it, if so how? I'm not familiar with greenhouses, though I do have some normal gardening experience.

  2. I wouldn't. I doubt you're the only person who knows about it and if you just walked in, I'm sure someone else would too.

  3. I would not as well...that's kinda creepy actually :bongin:

abandoned greenhouse in the middle of the woods?

    More details.

First thing that comes to my mind is to try and buy it. A greenhouse would raise my house value by $5 to $7 grand alone. (that is a guess though)

  6. Well I live in the middle of the Appalachians, so there is no one here ever, and the few people who do live here farm so it's not out of place. It's by an also abandoned vineyard, destroyed greenhouse, and two story house. It looks like someone just moved out a couple of decades ago and forgot about the property. Also I was hoping for a grow op already there but it just looks super abandoned. Like little trees growing in it abandoned.

  7. Yah man, Amagine a grow op already there? What would you do then? Thats killer man.

    Setup Question!!

  8. that would be awesome if its really abandoned...

  9. So should I use it? If so, how?

  10. No you shouldn't

That's just got horrible idea/rape murder scene written all over it. Especially in the mountains!!!! Those people play by their own rules

    One word......deliverance

  11. That's a though call I'd do this
    Try and buy
If you can't buy grow somthing other then weed for a.bit see if anyone dose anything
Then sit on it then grow

  12. The way I see it.. SOMEONE owns that property. There is not any free property for the taking anymore it is owned by someone somewhere. Eventually they will come to clear the property. They may not take kindly to squatters.

    fucking plant your herbs man:cool:

exactly nothing to lose not like the place is bugged and if the grow was found and your not there what does it matter

  14. What have you got to lose?

  15. Do it with Green or RED led headlamp at like 1-4 am and watch the area for lights or any human noises. Then the worst thing that could happen would be they ripp em and not kill/rape you with it?

Do it with caution and at night and you should be straight, its late in the season but if u had 1-3ft plants already u should be straight.

  16. Man thats a slippery slope. Too many variables in that equation for it to be safe in my opinion. I like what was said about growing veggies in it first. How big is the greenhouse exactly?? Could you and a buddy take it down in one day? Is there a for sale sign in the yard? Reason im asking, is if its abandoned like youre saying and theres no for sale sign and you never see anyone up there, why not just break it down and take it to a spot of your choosing? Im from the appalachians and i know how the good ol boys are, and i can tell you, that you dont want to be caught redhanded takin down some hillbillys grow spot!! You will end up on a milk carton. Also, you have to watch out for game wardens up in the mountains. Ive seen plenty of em walkin up in spots that you would never think theyd be. If they walk across that and take a peek inside, they will watch that spot and you will be a had lad hoss. K so after all that, my vote is, to either
    A. Plant veggies in it next year and see. That will give u a year of good scopin out and you will learn exactly what goes on up there. Or...
    B. if it really is abandoned, meaning no one up there at all and no for sale sign, and its not a massive greenhouse, and you have somewhere where u can transplant it and renovate it so it doesnt look the same, take a buddy, a truck, and a hammer and have at it. Just realize that this is a risky operation so use your wits when doing so. I'm not advocating stealing because i hate thieves, but if its just sitting there and abandoned, no ones going to miss it.

I vote what this guy said

  18. I am those people, I live here...

  19. Well it is a massive commercial one, easily 50 yards long. And it is totally abandoned, there is only one road there with foot deep potholes everywhere so I'd say that and the total overgrowth everywhere is a good indicator that it's abandoned.

  20. Lets get some pictures man
