I think a great addition, if it were possible, would be the option to display a preview thumbnail right in the section's main index. I know that some, including myself, will submit something but then no one ends up looking at the thread. Sometimes the titles of the artwork may put off some people who would otherwise be interested and everyone loses out. I think if there was some indication of what was posted before clicking on it, there might be a larger audience. Sort of like the popup text previewing the first little bit of text. I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to implement technically, it might make the index a little messy though, which is why I am only suggesting it for the artist's section. I made a quick mockup of my idea.... maybe this is a better version...
or maybe display a tumbnail of the image in the popup that comes up when you dwell on the thread title...
