As everyone here knows, you can't post here unless you are 18 or older. Everyone knows this and there are plenty of people who will jump on anyone who says something that may imply that they are not following this rule. But I was just looking through the rules and found this. It's right near the top So does this mean that anyone who posts a picture of illegally obtained marijuana can be banned? And if someone falsely states that SWIM did something, they are misrepresenting themselves which would violate the second rule I quoted. So my question is, why are some rules enforced more than others? It seems there is a bit of a double standard here.
There's no double standard. This is a marijuana forum. You knew that before you joined. Therefore marijuana is outside of the "do not post anything unlawful" rule on this forum. Not that difficult to grasp. And we don't do the whole SWIM thing here, so please don't start. Nothing will happen to you for saying "I picked up an ounce of bud today" or something like that.
There are a few things you have to remember when reading that. 1. These are probably a part of the default forum rules. There is really no reason to omit that part out. 2. It's somewhat of a liability issue. It's the equivalent to a wetfloor sign. If you slip and fall, it'll only be your fault because you were warned. 3. Post at your own risk. There really isn't anything illegal about posting pictures of weed or talking about the fact that you do it. It's also not illegal to post pictures of grow operations, however, it can put you at certain risk if law enforcement finds out where you live. But since these servers aren't in the U.S. there is really not much they can do unless you post your address on here, which isn't something I'd recommend. If showing images of grow ops were illegal, every company who has made a documentary or done a news story about it is breaking the law.
Are you talking in the sense that weed's legal because it's been around for (at least) thousands of years, because so have theft, murder, and rape.
Yes, that's exactly what I mean I'm a moron who doesn't know the difference between legality and availability
LOL. OP, I don't really think it's illegal at all. As mentioned, it's just for liabilities and what have you... and yes, haven't you heard? Everyone is smoking marijuana. It's the most legal substance ever!
even in some parts of the states its not illegal, its been decriminalized, and that notion is on the rise
