I know its not a good idea...but do you think theyd be able to survive with all the insects and shit?
its native to mountain steps of central asia and indian subcontanent. and yea there are trees around but mostly its not a forest spp. but a upland grass land spp. as to insects and shit...i would worry more about light and other growing conditions than insects.
no many people grow in forrest(read the outdoor growing guide, its about forrest growing) you just have to have the right spot where you can get enough sunlight
If you can find a spot that receives 6 hours of direct overhead sunshine a day, it will work. The best advice is try to find a pokeberry patch. MJ grows in the same ecological niche that pokeberry or pokeweed grows in. Find a patch of it and plant you seeds there.
