The Ford 302 is a better motor only because the 305 is the ugly bastard step child of the SBC family. a 95 Cobra with a 302 puts down like 170whp, embarassing. 350 SBC>Ford 302
The 305 and 307 weren't performance oriented. I'll take a Stroked 350 over just about every small block ford.
Incorrect,I have seen both the 302 and the 351 split directly down the middle at the 6-700hp mark. It was kinda bad ass lol. but to be fair I have seen a Big block chevy split the exact same way.
Built in the de-tuned era.. plus, 170 at the wheels isn't so damn bad... its about 250 at the crank not much less than its nemesis the camaro.
After a quick trip to google.. i saw ya lurking here 20 minutes before this post right after I replied Come on now, why call it a "stroked" 350..haha thats just laughable, no one uses that terminology brosef. If ya wanna talk strokers 347 or a 331 for this gearhead.. .. if we talking sb Chevrolet i'll take a destroked 377 > 383 anyday.
I had other tabs open(firefox). Is it "Just laughable?" Because its still a 350 block, that takes a 400 crank, and not everyone knows what is used to make a 383. lol at the 377,I can and have built a 383 for a little under 2000 and it made 450hp on an engine dyno. LS motors are whack. And nobody uses "brosef"
haha don't ya love the oxymoron knew i'd bait ya into respondin' like that on brosef. A motor is electric... i'm sure ya meant engine :0). haha, excuse me, i'm that asshole technician that will call incorrectness every time but hey its all.. tomato to toma-toe, potato to pota-toe... small block chevrolets are so interchangeable, parts are a dime a dozen...when ya ready to pony up and get whatcha paid for come talk to me in the ford thread
