Forcing Hermaphrodites to get seeds?

    Just something that's been kicking around in my head for the last couple days.

    Say I screw something up here and screw the pooch and I get herms.
    Is it possible to grow them to only bare seeds?

    What do you mean "to only bear seeds"? Meaning seeds would be your only goal, or meaning that the plant would produce nothing but seeds? Either way it's not a good idea, hermies often beget more hermies.

    Well, the "Mother" plant's only purpose would be to create seeds, yes.

    And I've thought of the problem down the line, and I think that the only real issue would be systematically germinating, sprouting, and inspecting the seeds in batches until I get the desired results.

    Basically, I'm working with good seeds, but I'm worried that I screwed up and let the soil get too dry while I was at work.

    I'm hoping to maybe recoup my losses, even if it takes 4x the time I projected.

    Even so, I wouldn't build a plan around hermies, most likely that would be throwing good money after bad.

    Well, that's understandable.

    But faced with the choice of a strain's extinction or building from Hermies, what would you do?

    can you not just build a small box to keep the mother plant alive?

    quick question...i ordered dna genetics la confid mixd pack of seeds from grasscity.com....i really didnt expect to get them b/c it was an irreputable site(everyone was out of stock or didnt carry them)..at first it seemd i was right as they took the money out of the accnt very quickly and then a couple days after sent me an email saying they were out of stock when i emailed them back telling them i would change my order they said oh no its okay we found the ones u wanted we will be shipping out your order soon....about a month later they did but they sent me a fem pack...COOL except i wanted to cross the l.a with my u.k cheese girl..i kind of wanted to herm one out and cross it with the l.a but is it not even worth it???would it ruin my genetics?? your help would be greatly appreciated thanks

    oh SORRY i guess i new here and i also figured i shouldnt start a thread for a question related to this one...i apologize fabricar if that made you made...i def didnt mean to ...and to u toastybiz i wont bother ansking YOU anything anymore so if you see one of my threads you can go ahead and skip passed it...sorry again fabricar
