Forcing a plant to flower outdoors?

Discussion in 'Absolute Beginners' started by stonednhappy, Apr 1, 2006.

  1. Is it possible to force a plant to flower outdoors when ever you want? Would you have to do somthing everyday or is it just the first few days to get it to start to flower? I just want to experiment with letting a plant veg for a few weeks (maybe two) then I want to force it into flowering. Thanks

  2. The only way I can think of to force flower outside is to cover the plant{s} with a light proof cover or something like a tarp. It would have to be pretty dark in there though once covered.

  3. when should I cover it?

  4. You would have to cover it for example. Say there are 14 hours of light and 10 hours of darkness on the day you want to start flowering. Cover it for 2 extra hours before the sun comes up.
