Forced T-Break for first time this year (what to expect?)

  1. Alright blades, I've been toking up daily for 9 full months this year, haven't skipped more than one little 36 hour window when I ran out of bud and it took a day to get it. Now this winter break I'll be traveling to NYC with my parents and brother, of course I'm stoked about the vacation but I can't help but think how my body/mind will react without my bud. I don't think I'll buy/smoke any over there because likely my brother (younger) or parent(s) will be with me most of the time. For sleep I'm going to take Melatonin, I usually toke up in the evening time of the day 99% of the time, so it aids my sleep to. Other than that should I expect anything weird to happen?

Also after the vacation, can I expect to get high off way less? And experience a different high?

Who's been in these shoes before? Lol.

  2. its just weed man. youll be fine, no withdrawls and youll get to smoke again.

  3. I've never heard of any withdrawls or shit like that from weed. Well, other than being sad cause you don't have anymore weed, haha. But no serious problems..

I'm sure you'll be fine mate

  4. On the second day you might be alil on edge and get irritated easily but it shouldnt be a big deal dude

  5. First 3 days im on edge and have trouble sleeping and eating. After that your gold

  6. Severe crack addiction will most definetly ensue.

  7. I used to have problems sleeping without bud until I realized it was all in my head. No problems usually, just a desire to get stoned again.

  8. Thanks for sharing your experience bros. What about the aftermath, will I get insanely high off less weed? I should right lol...

  9. NYC = DIESEL Round St. Marks.

  10. Ya dude honestly ive smoke solidly for four years now and i just stopped cold turkey, Like i smoked three to four times a day, and i just stopped, i started running and shit. THe only thing was i had trouble getting to sleep the first couple days and didnt have much of an appetite. Nothing more.

Im over the appetite thing and i can sleep like baby again that lasted.. maybe a week and thats even a stretch. it realluy is just weed man, a plant nothing more lol.

PLus it feels good to have some clarity and not feel hazy all the time :p

  11. Get through the first day and it's smooth sailin'

  12. I dont understand why people say there are no withdrawals - real heavy smokers know you have to go through some discomfort for a week or so.

I smoke daily, and have been for 3 years, morning til night, via bong, an eighth a day. i probably take two 2-3 week breaks a year, so take it from me.

You might not experience all of these, as 9 months isnt too long compared to two years or something.

    1) Loss of appetite. Your mind is so used to having your hunger triggered by the munchies, that you will not have a natural hunger for the first few days-week and a half. You could easily go through most of the day not eating. When you do eat, you will feel full off small portions. It is rly important you force yourself to eat something, to keep your energy and sugar level in check. It is also important, as your stomach will start to shrink with less food, and once your appetite comes back, you will not be able to eat with ease. If you force some fruit down, some easy to eat stuff, you should be ok from the first few days.

    2) Loss of sleep. You probaly know about this, hence the melatonin. To be honest, its only the first few days with bad sleep. Soon enough, you'll be sleeping fine, and having crazy ass dreams at that. I always find I dont dream so much when baked, but when on a break (like right now, i am on week 3 of a break) i have the trippiest dreams.

    3) Diarrhea. Yep. Depending on how much you smoked, this can happen, and last for a week or more. Every break, I have this, and looking it up online, a lot of people have this happen too. They say it's your body ridding itself of the THC/toxins in your body from smoking. It sucks. But it will pass. Just remember to eat and stay hydrated. This break, mine lasted a week and a half. Very uncomfortable.

And that's pretty much it. Its just the first week and a half or so, then you'll be feeling fine. But that being said above, you dont go into any serious crazy withdrawals other than those. I mean, smoking for so long every day, you can't expect your body to feel fantastic once you stop. It is too used to that foreign substance in your body (THC).

On week 3 today.... And im pushing it for 7 weeks. Going to be oh so baked when I end it! Can't wait! :D

  13. Oh, and dude, you will DEFINITELY feel RIDICULOUSLY baked. 3 days is enough to feel super baked (but with short breaks your tolerance shoots back up real quick). Im not sure how long your break will be, but trust me, you will appreciate the erb way more after your break!

My brother and I took a 3 week break earlier in the year, around january, and we both hit the bong... I walk into his room, and he was just sitting there, staring at his backpack (which he said he had been doing for 30 mins), "watching it talk" lol!

  14. i took a two week break and the first two or three days sucks.
after that youll be fine, just keep yourself busy.

i lived through my fellow blades during the break...
somehow it was like my crutch, whenever i wanted to blaze id log on.

but after the t-break is over smoking will be way different.
these days i find myself passing up on hits because i can get too high...
ya too high...i used to believe that was a myth but it happens.
    t-breaks are nice...every once in a while

  15. yeh. 2 week break. going to get high as shit the day before we leave, and high as shyt the day we are back

edit: love all you blades for the feedback and info!!
