  3. The oblate spheroid model seems to naturally explain the range of phenomena necessary, whereas the flat earth begs more questions than it offers answers.

  5. Hurricanes, coriolis effect, tornadoes, aurora borealis and australis, the rising and setting of the sun and moon, the magnetic effect of the earth in general, the seasons, etc

  7. I guess because GC is technically counterculture. Unpopular opinions abound.

  8. I guess that makes sense. It is sad though, that people hold so tightly onto these fantasies that fly in the face of daily human observations. They may as well believe the world is transparent.
