  1. Eternity. For those who dont believe that we simply rot in the earth and our consciousness falls into oblivion, how does one comprehend a never ending state of being. catholics, it would seem, believe that, in heaven, comprehension is not a requisit since they will reside in total bliss. so be it, i can see that happening, but i m not sure id prefer it, especially if my being would allow me a range of awarness grand enough to question it.

while considering these ideas i continuosly fall back to the idea of reincarnation; having our consciousness assume another body, while being totally oblivious to ever bieng alive previously, another conondrum that would seem to make this idea presentably, but unprovable.

whee! fun stuff. anywho, please go about posting your thoughts, city.

  2. I dont even bother trying to fathom any sort of after-life.

I think it's simply far beyond our comprehension. I'll find out when my time comes.

  3. I share this outlook, which Is why I consider myself an agnostic.

  4. To explan reincarnation.. It is simply put, being birthed into another sentient being immediately after death.

BUT.. If the universe collapses and reforms itself, then dont the sentient beings reform as well? Would this explain deja vu? In which case we are born and reborn into our SAME physical bodies and the SAME THINGS happen OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Thats the only thought that keeps me awake at night.

  5. whoa...

  6. Indeed.

  7. i just assume that we are assimilated into one source, there is no identity, no 'i' or 'me', we are all one.

ive heard stories where people can recall a previous life. so does this prove reincarnation?, no not scientificaly.

science is bound by space and time and there are things in this world that are beyond space and time.
