i own a fender telecaster and im looking to sell it. i need to know how much this guitar is worth. its serial number is S836617. Here are some pics.
Judging by the serial number, it's from around 1978 It would be helpful to know how much of the guitar is original (ie tuners, finish, pickups, knobs, pots, switch, etc...). Obviously it has a Floyd Rose installed, which will bring the value down, as will the addition of a humbucker in the bridge. There are some '78 Fenders on eBay going for $1,000 - $2,500. Unfortunately, the mid to late '70s are not regarded as a great time for Fenders quality-wise.
