Foggy’s Frosted Forest

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Foghorn1130, Jul 13, 2022.

  1. Hello friends and neighbors. I’m Foghorn1130. Most of you all know me as Foggy .

I decided it was time to get myself a tent to grow in and I decided to go with the Spider Farmer 2 foot x 4 foot x 6.5 foot tent .
Spider Farmer suggests that for a tent of this size the ideal light is the
SF 2000 . So that’s what I decided to go with.

The tent arrived unscathed yesterday afternoon and I couldn’t wait to start setting up this Spider Farmer grow tent .

First thing that jumped out at me was how well the grow tent was packaged.

I saw the users manual and checked to make sure all of the parts to assemble it were included, and I’m happy to report that everything was included.

There are so many grow tents on the market, some use hard plastic for its frame and some use metal tubing.

Spider farmer definitely did a awesome job on its frame. The tubing is powder coated white and once I put all of the parts together, it’s a very impressive and strong frame. They did a great job of labeling each part. It took me about 5 minutes to get the entire frame set up.

The tent cover itself is an Oxford 1680D. Oxford Cloth is a fabric that’s wrinkle-resistant, waterproof, and tearproof. Oxford material has a special double-weave that allows for an overall thicker and rougher material than other covers.

When I felt the tent cover , right away I could tell it was well made . It’s a thick and heavy cover.

The zippers and everything about the construction of the tent made me realize I made a great decision to go with Spider Farmer.

Once I got the tent set up , I was able to take a good look inside. The entire inside is a super reflective Mylar. This is definitely going to increase the lights output efficiency.

The SF 2000 light also came well packaged and is a great looking light.

I got the light hung inside the tent and everything looks great.

  6. The only thing I’m waiting for now is for the fan kit to arrive. I don’t need it right away since I’m just now germinating, but having a tent with no fan kit is shooting yourself in the foot . Lol

  11. This Spider Farmer grow tent is actually a lot bigger and more spacious
    than I originally thought.

My initial thought was that I would grow just one plant inside the tent, but after putting it together, I actually have plenty of room to do 2 nice plants.

I do believe that Spider Farmer says you can grow up to 3 or 4 plants inside this 2 x 4 x 6.5 ft tent.

I’m not the type of grower that believes more is better. I think 2 plants will be more than enough for me to fill it up and have beautiful flowers.

I dropped 2 Glue Sniffer beans in a shot glass . One germinated in 2 days.
I thought the second GS was a dud, so I dropped a 3 more seeds .
One was a Blueberry muffin x Gelonade, and the other 2 were LA OG Kush. Let’s see what happens in the next few days. I will have a hard decision to make as to who makes it inside the tent. Lol IMG_4879.JPG IMG_4880.JPG IMG_4934.JPG IMG_4935.JPG
I know for sure one Glue Sniffer is in , the other plant will be a game day decision. Lol

My routine has recently undergone a shift with six abreast in these roughly 2 gal coffee containers as opposed to only being able to maneuver three in 5 gal buckets; jury is still considering whether this is a more productive system.

  17. Hello foggy! I have that exact same tent and light. The extra height in that tent really comes in handy. I love the light also, don't really have any complaints. Looking forward to the grow! Peace.
