Go to page 4 for a simple, easy to read, step by step story. Because I guess some people cant understand what happened. And refuse to believe me.

I was holding a cell phone for a friend that was trading it back to who he bought it from. (were all friends). So, as the days grow longer I figure my friend is not going to get the money to pay my other friend back. I take it upon myself to post the phone on craigslist. I get a call for it and the man says he will come to my house for it since I had no ride. I agree and he comes and we do the deal and he goes on his way.

20 minutes later he is back at my door. Stating that the phone was unable to be activated because it was reported stolen. He continues to say when he found out it was stolen, he went to the police station and handed the phone in. He told them my adress and they kept the phone from him.

So, now this guys at my door, telling me he just went to the police station ect... He comes back alone, no cops. I apologize to him because I had no clue the thing was stolen. And I kindly return him his money.

But what do I do now? Im nervous. I did not steal the phone or know it was stolen. I felt bad for the man and gave him his money back. But now that cell phone is probally on some cops desk, and they know my adress. What is going to happen??

Does anyone agree with this man? Why did he have to go to the cops. He should of just came back and we could of settled it just as we did, but without him going to the police prior. Fuck My Life.

Oh, and I only sold the phone to him for $20.

  2. I doubt there going to like raid your house or anything over a 20 dollar phone. Most I could see them doing is coming to your house to talk to you.

  3. What's gonna happen? Nothing dude, you just gave a guy a free phone. In other words, you got scammed.

is there any proof he went to the cops. I think you got scammed dude. You shouldnt have given the money back without a phone or some sort of receipt from the police. Now youre out of a phone and $20. I doubt the cops would bust someone for a stolen phone which is what makes it even more fishy that the guy "brought it to the police" especially considering it was $20.

FWIW i dont think you can even get busted for something under $500. Usually if its under $500 it's considered petty theft and you'll get hit with a fine and you'd obviously need to return the stolen item.

My gut is telling me you got your ass scammed. sorry dude.

  5. IF that really happened....said phone reported stolen, just tell them what happened with selling the friends phone...if your friend stole it, he might have some splainin' to do....but what if the guy just said that to get his money? that sucks

  7. I honestly believe he is telling the truth. I am looking at it from GC's point of view, and it looks like I got scammed. But I was here, in the situation. The guy came alone and looked happy when he got it, and depressed when he came back. He didnt look shady or anything.

edit: I highly doubt he scammed me. I wouldve sensed it. That guy doesnt have the balls to do that to someone. Trust me, I seen him.

  8.

You don't have to feel depressed to look depressed. Obviously he's scammed more than once. It was clearly a scam.

  9. You should have just given him half his money or something, should have brought a receipt from the police if he wanted all of it back.

  10. I was going to do that, but I just wanted him gone by this point. I didnt need him calling the cops and proving to me he really did take it to the police.

This happened about 6 hours ago btw and the cops aint here yet. So im happy for that.

  11. This^^^

  12. Usually takes a little longer than 20 minutes to try to activate a phone, take it to the police, explain why you're turning it in, and then drive back to your house. Sounds like you got ripped off bro.

  13. Eh it was a lesson learned, and at least it was only $20. I know some people who got scammed in a similar manner for shit costing $300

Now just relax cus no pigs will be goin to yo crib:smoke:

  14. DMX? Did, I really scam you? Fuck, sorry man I'll be over to drop off that twenty back.

  15. Gimmie My 20 back *****.

But honestly I dont feel ive been scammed. If I was scammed, Its really no big deal at all. ( and he must be a fucking Profesional Con-Artist with nuts the size of meatballs to scam me like that... If he did) I just truely dont want the cops involved in any way shape or form. And to what im told, they are.

  16. i once ordered a lg xenon from ebay and the guy didnt format it and i went through the pictures and videos and there were tons of pictures of this dudes small cock and a couple videos of him playing with his balls and shit, i left him ebay feedback

"A++ fast shipping, great commuication, next time remove cock pictures and videos"

  17. ^^ahaha :D:p

  18. are you sure he isnt just saying that to get a free phone...

  19. yeah.. you talked with him for like, 10 minutes in total? you have no idea what most people really are. it's easy to fake being sincere.

  20. You could have just told him that it's bullshit and he's just trying to scam you. That way, even if the cops came, you could have claimed that you didn't know it was stolen.
