Flushing to crop

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by UKVCC, Jun 10, 2019.

  1. So I'm in the last 2 weeks until I crop and I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews about what works best. Some say feed nutrients until the end other say flush with pH water and add molasses or carboload

    Thoughts and opinions please

  2. I would go with the flush bro, the science behind it makes sense... And you're more likely to end up with a harsh smoke if you feed her all the way...

The flush is to remove nutrients from the soil so that the plant uses up the remaining nutrients in the leaves itself (which contributes to leaf yellowing in late flower)

This allows for most of the nutrients held in the leaves and the bud to be removed as well, leaving you with a smooth hitting smoke once drying and curing is over

  4. I haven't done it personally, but I have read about it quite a few times. Molasses has a decent N-P-K ratio, and most growers use them as a water additive throughout most of the grow, with some growers continuing to use it until harvest.

It should add more weight to your buds, but I'm not sure of the effects on taste everyone has their own opinions.

My advice would be, next time, grow 2 plants of the same strain, and add molasses to one for the whole grow, and the other just normal nutes or whatever you've been doing, it's the easiest way to know for sure if you want to continue using it in future
