So basically I have started my flush, I have read you can do this for 1-2 weeks I have chosen to do it for one week. My questions are: Do you flush EVERY time you water? or flush then normally water, then flush once more a day before harvest and let it dry? Just unsure of if I have to take the time to flush it everyday as my plants are very thirsty, or if I can flush once at the beginning of the cycle, then water normally for most of the week, then flush a day or two once more before harvest. Thanks!
Are you using coco or soil. Can we have a pic please. You can feed as usual but with just water for the last 2 weeks.
I never use soil personally but I don't think you need to actually flush. Definitely don't add fertalizer towards the end. I don't grow anything in dirt so I probably should give advice.
Fair enough, I did one good flush and planned to just water without nutrients for the rest of the week.
Flushing to take nutrients out of roots is a myth, there is nothing to be gained from dumping excess water through your soil and it can even cause some problems unless you use salt based nutes and need to flush the salt but you shouldn't wait for harvest to do that.. Proper flushing is simply just stopping all nutrients and just feed water. This allows the plant to use up any left over nutes The biology and science of it is explained here Flushing: The Myth that won't Die
