My seed is barely sprouting. I have a 150 watt fluorescent light bulb with a light output of 2780 lumens. How far should I put this away from from sprout? Is this even strong enough to make it grow? When will I have to eventually switch to an LED or HPS bulb? Thanks a million guys!
Well you really never have to switch. You can use floros for you whole grow. As far as how far to put the light, about 3". What is the bulb temp? If you are using a flouros you want 6500K for the veg stage, daylight flouros. And soft white 2700K for flowering. There are a few really good guides on here that will tall you how to do it. Grandpa's grow is good and look a kamels flouro grow. They are both stickied in the begginers section. I am a noob also well one grow under my belt but still a noob compared to these guys. But I did my whole grow under flouros and had great success. They say you want 100watts per plant. And you will want to put a small fan on the plant and light to 1. keeps light cooler and 2. promotes strong stem growth. Hope this helps. Good luck with the grow.
anytime man, I asked tons of questions and will be asking again through my new grow. The people on here know what they are talking about so just search the forum and you will find any answer to any question you could think of.
