Fluctuating light/dark hours

Discussion in 'Lighting' started by EmPeaX82, Sep 13, 2020.

  1. Current setup does not allow me to have dedicated on/off hours. As long as they get 12hrs off will different on/off hours on weekdays/weekend have negative effects? Please answer with respect and experience.

  2. If you are in flowering, as long as they get 12 hours or more of darkness. When I have had to run places back to back, I had my plants at 10/14 before or even 9/15. Your yield will obviously suffer.

  3. Thanks. I can get full 12 on. Its just at different hours. Sunday is my only short day. Maybe 10 on, but every other day. Schedule usually 8a-8p mon-thurs. On 8a fri until maybe 12a. 12p-12a sat/sun. Off at 8p sun...

  4. IMO if you are going to do it this I would shoot for more dark so the plants dont get more than 12h of light. I'd rather the plants get 18h of dark on the weekend than giving them more light (which will happen if you change the dark hours but leave it at 12/12)
    hope that make sense.
